Field Service Coordinator/Project Manager Industries

 

We are currently looking for a skilled Field Service Coordinator/Project Manager Industries (Turbomachinery) to join our team at MAN Industries in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily coordination of the local field service team and ensuring smooth execution of onsite work. From project initiation to customer handover, you will play a crucial role in managing operations and providing support throughout the bidding process.

Your role: 

  • Lead and manage local Field Service Engineers, ensuring disciplinary standards are met.
  • Motivate the team and address local issues effectively.
  • Review qualifications, recommend development measures, and organize local training sessions.
  • Conduct interviews, select candidates, and oversee onboarding processes.
  • Manage the technical, administrative, and scheduling aspects of installations and service activities.
  • Provide insight for service quotations and oversee the selection of subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with Workshop Supervisor for comprehensive job coordination.
  • Facilitate coordination among all parties involved in field service activities.
  • Prepare thorough documentation and work instructions for field service staff.
  • Participate in customer visits and maintain detailed records of field work.Lead planning and coordination efforts for turnarounds and shutdowns.
  • Identify and pursue business opportunities during site visits.
  • Ensure adherence to work safety, efficiency standards, and industry regulations.
  • Focus on enhancing field service processes through continuous improvement.

Your qualifications: 

  • Holds a Senior High School degree, Apprenticeship training certification, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of MAN equipment, MAN Infrastructure, Customers, and relevant processes.
  • Proficient in Rotating Equipment (steam turbines, compressors, and expanders).
  • Skilled in interpreting drawings, technical documents, sketches, and cross-sectional drawings.
  • Excellent computer proficiency with MS Office and MS Project.
  • Demonstrated expertise in communication, contract negotiation, legal implications of terms and conditions, and senior-level project management.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, with additional foreign language proficiency being advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel extensively as per business requirements (often exceeding 50% of the time and occasionally on short notice).

We are located in Schiedam (Rotterdam) and Antwerp.
Our office is easily accessible by car (Highway A13 and A20). We have available and dedicated parking spots.
