Field Service Engineer Wind Turbines

 

Ready to shape the future of sustainable energy? We are looking for a Wind Turbine Engineer (Onsite Machining) to join our dynamic team in Antwerp! In this role you’ll perform high-precision mechanical repairs and machining tasks within wind turbines, directly contributing to the success of our clients and the growth of our company. 

Your role:

  • Providing mechanical and machining repairs, inspections, troubleshooting and fault diagnosis, for a variety of rotating and static componentry within the wind turbine Naelle (Up-Tower); Please note: These are damage repairs (not standard maintenance of the entire turbine);
  • Repairing and inspecting components such as the gearbox, shafts, yaw-ring and brake systems;
  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and hydraulic issues;
  • Collaborate on the development of new repair processes and tooling;
  • Providing detailed reports on all completed work and plan for upcoming tasks;
  • Develop the wind turbine repair capabilities for MAN-ES UK and expand the business sector; 
  • Ensuring all tasks are carried out in compliance with highest health, safety and environmental standards. 
     

Your qualifications:

  • You have a secundair education or bachelor in machine engineering, commercial vehicle technology, first automotive mechanic, mobile machinery diploma, or a similar qualification
  • You possess a good technical understanding
  • You have 2 to 5 years of experience as a technician
  • You perform well under time pressure and have excellent technical skills
  • You are down-to-earth, proactive, driven, and resilient to stress
  • You are service-oriented, a team player, and flexible
  • You are honest and reliable
  • You have good command of both Dutch and English, both written and spoken
