For our Industries department located in Rotterdam the Netherlands, we are currently looking for an experienced Technical Sales Consultant Industries Omnicare.

What does this mean?
In your role as Technical Sales Consultant Industries Omnicare you consult customers and support Sales Managers in territory with regards to technical related customer issues about all non-MAN Turbomachinery core Products (Steam Turbines, Axial-, Radial- and Screw Compressors and their auxiliary components). You provide technical solutions on customer’s problem description, operating data, P&ID’s and component drawings. You perform site visits in order to identify fleet and solve customers' problems. You are responsible for the preparation and presentation of reports on findings and possible solutions. You report and provide feedback of gained insight with respective departments worldwide and you provide support to project management for projects in execution.

Your Tasks:

• Technical consulting for all mechanical operating issues of local turbomachinery fleet (internally and externally);
• Sales support on regional turbomachinery fleet of any OEM, concerning technical discussion and possible solutions;
• Regular participation to customer visits in the region together with respective sales manager in order to recognize and develop business opportunities for all Omnicare products like maintenance, spare parts, repairs, revamps, service contracts and field service;
• Development of opportunities of third-party machine business identified by Sales Managers with existing and new customers in alignment with Omnicare and Sales Managers;
• Regular technical Know-How transfer with other Regions and PCs;
• Support of field service personnel in case of technical problems;
• Implementation of technical analyses including reporting and documentation;
• Prepare proposals for technical solutions and offerings towards customers;
• Participate in GO / NO-GO decisions for regional Omnicare opportunities;
• Evaluation of potential Omnicare partners;
• Alignment with Sales, Engineering, Field Service and Workshop concerning possible repair concepts and solutions;

 

 Who you are: 

• Engineering Degree along with Bachelor in Mechanical Design or equivalent technical background;
• Seasoned service experience for turbomachinery equipment with 10+ years of related experience, preferably in field service, engineering or workshop environment;
• ”Yes we can” mentality;
• Entrepreneurial attitude and willing to take decisions based on an informed risk assessment;
• Open, transparent and flexible;
• Willing to share information and work in a team;
• Challenge the status quo;
• Ready and willing to innovate;
• Fluent in spoken and written Dutch, English, additional foreign languages are advantageous;
• Readiness to travel in Europe as required by business needs (partially >50% of the time and sometimes on very short notice).
