Sales Representative Marine


We are currently looking for a Sales Representative Marine for our front sales marine department in Schiedam. The Sales Representative will represent MAN ES Benelux in its region and be the central customer contact. He/she will take the lead of MAN PrimeServ solutions in the market for achieving sales targets, driving front sales excellence and strategically develop the region with local and international customers. In this function you report to the Head of Sales Marine & Power. 

Your role: 

  • Promotion PrimeServ Care after sales activities
  • Follow-up of sales quotations / leads and opportunities
  • Actively contact with customers
  • Analysis of competitors
  • Cross-selling existing business (interaction other departments)
  • Responsible for relationship management of assigned accounts 
  • You are aware of customer developments
  • You establish relationships with stakeholders and decision makers of the accounts 
  • Visiting clients and representing the complete portfolio of services from MAN (cross-selling) 
  • Follow the developments within the MAN organization
  • You provide input for the new products/services to be developed
  • Generating leads and opportunities and taking care of the follow up 
  • Keeping account information up to date within the CRM system
  • Keeping track on customer activities within the field service and workshop
  • Frequent deliberation with the internal sales employees
  • Maintaining good relationships with MAN’s Product Centers and other suppliers

Your qualifications:

  • Master degree in business administration or engineering
  • +3 years of work experience in a sales or business development position in marine industry
  • Knowledgeable about marine equipment, especially on the service side
  • Good understanding of marine industry, and especially of the vessel operations
  • Customer centric, service minded, entrepreneurial, self-disciplined, and highly motivated with abilityto focus on defined priorities
  • Excellent communicator and good listener
  • Fluent in spoken and written Dutch and English, additional foreign language are advantageous
  • You have a hunter mentality as you will be visiting the customers on a daily basis
