For our Field Service department located in Rotterdam the Netherlands, we are currently looking for an experienced Customer Support.

What does this mean?
In your role as Customer Support you are a part of the department Field Service. You are the link between the client, Field Service Planner/Coordinator, technical office staff and Order Processors. The Field Service team takes care of services at engines on board of ships worldwide, as well as on land based installations.You contribute to the improvement of client satisfaction and you take part of the department meetings. In this function you report to the Operations Manager Field Service.

We can offer you the following tasks: 

  • Proactive picking up client requests 
  • Maintain excellelent and customer oriented e-mail contact with the client 
  • Collecting the necessary data for the client request
  • Evaluate the client requests; based on feasibility, credibility and expertise and commercial agreements 
  • Effective and timely communication with clients by telephone and/or email
  • Active collaboration and communication with Field Service Planner and client agent.
  • Follow up on postponed/cancelled attendance requests and care for the client untill job is planned
  • Awareness on leads with strategic potential and link them with the right account manager
  • Focuss to response time and customer-friendliness

 

You can help us with these qualifications: 

  • Bachelor degree in business administration or engineering;
  • +3 years of work experience in technical support, or equivalent experience is desired in the marine industry;
  • Knowledgeable about marine equipment, especially on the service side;
  • Good understanding of marine industry, and especially of the vessel operations;
  • Customer centric, service minded, entrepreneurial, self-disciplined, and highly motivated with ability to focus on defined priorities;
  • Excellent communicator and good listener;
  • Fluent in spoken and written in Dutch and English, additional foreign language are advantageous
